What this service is
Dastarkhan is a pre-order marketplace. The dishes on our menu are cooked by independent home cooks; we run the menu, take your order, coordinate the cook, and handle communication and payment.
When you place an order, it is fulfilled by one of our independent cooks. We tell you who is cooking your order once it is claimed.
Orders and confirmation
Every order is a request until we confirm it with you directly. We confirm timing, details, and the total before the order is final, and payment is taken on confirmation.
Prices shown are per dish; a dish ordered from a specific cook’s page is charged at the price shown on that page.
Cancellations
You can cancel free of charge until 24 hours before your scheduled pickup or delivery time. Inside 24 hours, ingredients are usually already bought and prepped, so we may not be able to refund in full.
Home kitchens and allergens
Our food is prepared in home kitchens, not commercial facilities, and shared equipment is used. Allergens are listed per dish, but cross-contact is possible.
If you have a serious allergy, flag it in the order notes. We will check with the cook and decline the order if it cannot be made safely.
Liability
We work only with cooks we have onboarded personally, and we stand behind every confirmed order. If something is wrong with your order, contact us and we will make it right — a remake or a refund.

We may update these terms as the service grows; the date above reflects the latest version. This is a plain-language draft and will be reviewed by counsel before public launch.
